Today saw Our Return fixture with Nenagh in the Bank of Ireland U16 Munster Cup in Rathcooney. This was always going to a furiously contested game and it didn't disapoint.

Nenagh started with fierce intensity and our boys were defending heroically, we weathered Nenagh initial storm and worked our way in to the game, the deadlock was finally broken when Liam set off on a mazy run and left the Nenagh defence trailing in his wake to score under the posts. 10 minutes later he scored his second out wide in the corner as he was set free after some great work between backs & forwards in Midfield. Liam went on to score his third about 10 minutes before halftime,, Old Christians now lead 19-0 with halftime approaching, Nenagh were never going to go quietly and managed to score a converted try on the stroke of halftime. Halftime score 19-7

The second half began with Nenagh in the determined fashion and our boys boys defended heroically , but eventually succumbed to the Nenagh pressure and conceded a try under the posts which Nenagh converted scores now stood at 19-14 and was game on.

The game was now set for who ever wanted it the most as both teams threw everything at each other with the match winning score coming from our man of the match Liam Kelleher with a great piece of opportunism to score his 4 fourth try of a cracking match. This was the deciding score as Sean duelly converted, rounding off what was truly gritty performance from Our lads.

Final score Old Christians 26- Nenagh Ormonde 14.

Well done to all the squad today great performances from all.
