Corca Duibhine 10

A belated restart after the Xmas break saw Corca Duibhine visiting us in the 3rd round of Phase 2 of the Cup.

We started rapidly scoring a maul try from Ben within first 2 mins and were looking good but then we went to sleep and let them get into it conceding a pen and a converted try. But that woke us up and after their 7 we hit back nearly straight away with a 7 of our own from Evan showing that when we ran hard and straight and recycled ball quickly we put them under pressure but we were only doing this in parts that's why it was close at half time 12-10.

Second half was much better as we started to play more like we can. But they were a decent team and caused us loads of problems by moving the ball whenever they could but our defence held firm.

Great tackles from Zach, Sammy and a couple of fantastic last man tackles from Ciaran kept them out.

Our scrum ,strong all season, started to make their power tell with 3 scrum pens on their feed added to huge carries from Brian, Aidan,Darragh, James and Man of the match Aaron kept them in their half for most of the second half further tries from Brian and Oisin with Sammy knocking over 1 of the extras plus a pen to leave the the final score 25 to 10
