Sad news reached me last night, when I heard of the passing of Kevin McCarthy. Known very affectionely as Roundy Kev, he served for many years as Bagman to the First team.
Kev was one of the Southside Mafia, being originally from the Lough and how we all ended up in Carrigmore nobody knows. He was always smiling and cheerful even when putting up with cranky players.
The Club would like to extend our deepest sympathies to his wife Mary and relatives and friends.

McCarthy (Carrigaline and late of The Lough) On January 5th 2025, unexpectedly at Cork University Hospital, Kevin (late of John F. Supple Ltd and Old Christians R.F.C) beloved husband of Mary Coughlan. Sadly missed by his loving wife, sisters-in-law Colette (O’Sullivan) and Judith (Cremin), cousins, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Forde’s Funeral Home, Old Waterpark, Carrigaline on Wednesday (8th) from 5:00pm until 6:00pm. Private cremation to take place later at The Island Crematorium.
