Our U18.5s were back in action yesterday after a narrow loss last week, they took on a Cashel team yesterday knowing that they needed to get back to winning ways. The boys didn't disapoint in what were atrocious conditions. Liam scored a try within the first minute converted by Dav, 7 -0 Old Christians, next to score was Chris making it 12-0 With Christians playing with the aid of the wind Cillian O Mahony  ( On Debut) scored the first of his 2 first half tries followed 10 minutes later by his second. Old Christians fully in control at the break leading the visitors on a score of 29-0.
Second half began with Cashel now having the wind at their backs and Christians after emptying the bench, Cashel tried manfully to get themselves back in the game and were rewarded with 3 tries in the second half, but Old Christians kept them at bay with 2 tries of their own through Dav and Shane eventually running out winners on a score of 42-21. All 23 contributed and got quality game time Dav controlled  the game expertly in the conditions, Liam played exceptionally at fullback, but this weeks ( Thomas award ) went to debutant Cillian O Mahony for his 2 excellent tries. Congratulations Cillian and Congratulations to Conor and the Squad for what was great win under trying conditions.
