Last Saturday saw the return of Old Christians Rhinos to the pitches in Rathcooney

From U6 to U12, the club welcomed back existing and new players from the summer break showing that their skills were not at all rusty.

Afterwards, parents, players and coaches paid a visit to the revamped Clubhouse Cafe for much deserved refreshments.

Tuesday evening saw the girls only Minis take to the Astro pitch on what stayed mostly dry but ended with a lot of rain falling. It certainly didn't dampen the spirits though.

• Minis Girls

Here are a few shots from the girls Minis held on Tuesday eve on the Astro which followed on from the Give It a Try sessions in the summer. Great fun had with some great skills on show.

• Under 6's and Under 7's

Great to be back with our youngest group of rugby stars. Had a great time practicing our passing and catching today.

• Under 8's

It was great to get back to Rathcooney as our 2015 Rhino’s began their U8’s season and moved from Astro to grass. It was lovely to see familiar faces back and we look forward to developing the players as a team. We focused on the catch and pass, revisiting the skills from last season. It’s important that players come equipped so reminding them all to bring their gum shield’s next session

• Under 9's

U9 picked up were they left off last season developing their tackling technique and got their hands moving with some catch pass drills

• Under 10's

U10 back this morning. A great showing for the first day back. Played some skills games based on catch pass and space awareness

• Under 11's

U11s back at training today, straight back into it ! They haven’t lost their skills over the summer and are showing great form !

• Under 12's

U12’s first training session of 22/23 season went well. Attendance was 13 players, great to see them all so fit and healthy after a great summer break.
