Old Christian's welcomed Kilfeakle RFC today in a challenge match at home in our grounds in Rathcooney. On a very wet afternoon both teams turned up in force and were clearly up for a game. Old Christian's started strong with an early try which was created by some great team work. Kilfeakle tried to settle and play but Old Christian's didn't give them a minutes peace with some great team work and pressure causing Kilfeakle to make mistake which our boys capitalised on and for their great work gained 3 more tries before half time, Kilfeakle gained a try before half time which gave them hope for a come back in the second half. With a few changes made by Old Christian's Kilfeakle got an early try but our boys regrouped and returned with another 2 tries Old Christian's win 35 -15. The whole squad got a good run out today and each and everyone of them showing their ability to play some great rugby 🏉 Big thankyou to coach kevin who played a blinder with the whistle today as ref. Thankyou to all the parents who once again didn't disappoint by supplying sandwich and treats for the kids today and dave maher who showed off his hospitality skills today making everyone welcome.
