We played Mallow Sunday in the quarter final of the South Munster Development Cup.

It has been over 3 weeks since our last game and it showed in the opening ¼ We were sluggish and made some errors handling and turned over ball at ruck time.

But in all that time we defended very well and once we got playing something like we can we took the game to them, with Ben touching down after a brilliant lineout maul.

Josh added another in the corner and their only reply was a penalty to leave the half time score 3-10.

A yellow card for them right on half time gave us an extra man for the start of the second half and we made it count with a brilliant individual try from Sean B ,touching down following his own kick on ,to beat their winger to the touchdown.

We started to get on top and another try for Oisin after great break was converted by Ben

But credit to Mallow they kept going and some mistakes from us kept them in touch but we held out and finished the game on the attack to see out the match.

This was a great work out for next weekend and thanks to Mallow for a great tough sporting game.

Our focus now is to prepare for next Sunday's final V Skibbereen in Musgsave Park KO 11.o'clock
