U16 OCRFC 45 v Mallow 17

A final spot at stake, the boys knew they had to perform today and boy did they. The first half of rugby was probably our best performance of the season with some fantastic spells of play. We scored 5 try’s in the first half as we blitzed Mallow, the pick of which every player seemed to move the ball as it went out wide to Sean to touch down in the corner. Great skills on show. We went in at half time 33-10 knowing Mallow would come back fighting and they did, however the lads defended brilliantly with key turnovers when we needed it. Some big performances out there with Ryan Murphy, Liam Hadlow, Rhys Cambridge and Riain O ‘Farrell all having great games but in fairness everyone gave it everything, too many to mention. The bench too played its part, giving fresh energy and impetus when needed. We finished the game like we started with Tadhg touching down in the corner. On to the final we go.
