A.G.M.
The Club A.G.M. took place on Tuesday the 4th of June , before a good attendance. It was great to see quite a number of younger players present as well as catching up with some of the "Former Greats".
This year, the IRFU decreed that all club accounts from now on, would work on year endings 30th of April as opposed to 31st of May in the past. This meant the accounts were for an eleven month year this time around.
Financially, we are in a good place. Despite the huge cost of running the club, we again recorded a small profit for the 11 month "year".
The playing side took up a lot of the meeting, with some lively discussion.
Promotion back to the top division is deemed to be a priority, and the commitment of our cup winning Under 18.5 team, to adult rugby would be a major plank in that.
At under-age and mini Rugby, the club is thriving, with huge numbers involved.
The recent Junior Inter-Pro, really showcased the club and drew much praise from visitors.
The top table of the club remains the same with,
Chairman Donal Scully
Hon. Sec. Adrian O'Connell
Treasurer Colin Murphy.
Kieran Heaphy was returned as President, (they may have been brown envelopes involved here).
The Club Registrar is Jean Rubillon and Director of Rugby is Matt Marnell.
The Mini Rugby Co-ordinator is Adrian Twohig and the Youth Rugby Co-ortinator is Liam O'Brien.
Data Protection Officer is Eoghan O'Brien and Club Welfare Officer is Ellen O'Brien.
Fixtures Sec. Barry Daly and Facilities Manager Paul O'Connell complete the list.
