Today we welcomed young Munster to the return fixture of the Pan Munster cup competition. Having beaten the cookies the week prior in a scrappy affair we knew what we were up against.
We opened the match with a massive momentum boost thanks to a massive hit by Charlie which put us on the front foot just as the whistle blew. Fantastic game management by Ben and some monstrous carrying by Brian led to an easy walk in for Seanie Delaney who dotted down for his first of the match up. Some more brilliant pressure from midfield and back row and massive hits from the front five saw us add a second try and a first of a fantastic hat-trick from Ciaran Roche. We continued our dominance throughout the first half and the score reflected it perfectly going into the break with a 26-0 lead thanks to tries from Sean Delaney and Ciaran again.
The second half saw a slight shift in momentum as the hungry limerick side clawed two tries of their own back but the lads did not drop the heads whatsoever. Some smart decisions and some more massive carries from our front row got us up into their 22 which we converted with the third and final try of Ciarans hat-trick capping off a wonderful team effort leaving the score at 31-12 at full time.
We set our sights on a top of the table clash with Ennis next week up in their home town in which we are sure is going to be a cracker.
SCORERS🏉
X3 Ciaran Roche
X2 Sean Delaney
Conversions X3 (Ben o Connell)
