The summer sun appeared here and there for the second last Canterbury Give It a Try session for 2022 in Rathcooney.

With the pitches after being recently sanded, it could have been mistaken for a game of beach rugby.

This weeks session focused on decision making and also bringing all of the skills learned over the last six sessions together in order to build the players confidence in the game.

The usual warm up games took place, playground favourites like tag and stuck in the mud (or sand).

Then the players were playing overloaded games where defence had to make decisions based on what attack was coming towards them.

All in all, another fantastic session.

And so on we go to the final session next Thursday where there will be some rugby and some Old Christians hospitality afterwards. We hope to see everyone there.
