The J1s played their second league game in very wet Rathcooney on Sunday last.

For the second week running we had to put out a weakened fifteen due to the large number of injuries. A huge credit must go to those who played for their efforts and never give up attitude.

We led 9-3 at half time from three penalties , converted by Conor Dolan. In a very wet second half Thurles scored a try and two penalties to one penalty from Conor Dolan, to leave the final score 12-14. On another day where the referee's interpretation of the rules didn't go against us ,we may have got the win. The only consolation was that we picked up a losing bonus point.
